Alibaba opens sign-ups for Qwen's in-app agent in China

Why it matters
Qwen is pushing its AI assistant into service tasks where Alibaba already has commerce, payments and travel integrations. The test is whether users will delegate real transactions and disputes, not just ask for recommendations.
Alibaba has opened applications for a China-only personal agent inside Qwen App, positioning the feature to handle tasks such as pursuing refunds, filing flight-delay compensation claims and booking services. Qwen's October 13th clarification called the product Personal Agent and said it is embedded in the app, with access being granted in batches.
