Corrections Policy
Last updated May 25, 2026
RuntimeWire aims to correct factual errors quickly and transparently. If something we published is wrong, we want to fix it.
How to request a correction
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Correction" and include:
- The article URL.
- The specific disputed claim, quoted verbatim from the article.
- Supporting source or documentation (a link, a screenshot, a filing, a public statement, or first-hand context).
- Your name and contact information so we can follow up.
How we handle requests
- We review every correction request, typically within one business day.
- If the claim is factually incorrect, we update the article and add a dated correction note.
- If a clarification is warranted but the original claim was not strictly wrong, we add a dated clarification note.
- If we decline to correct, we'll tell you why.
Labels we use
- Correction — a factual error has been fixed. The note explains what changed.
- Clarification — wording has been sharpened to avoid ambiguity, without changing the underlying facts.
- Update — new information has been added after publication.
- Retraction — the story is substantially wrong and cannot be repaired with a correction. The original is replaced with a retraction notice that explains the decision.
What we do not do
We do not silently rewrite stories. We do not remove articles in response to PR pressure, embarrassment, or commercial interest. See our editorial policy for the narrow circumstances in which we will unpublish.
