Platform gatekeepers can stall or accelerate a startup’s shipping cadence. A four-month pause followed by a green light is a reminder to founders to plan for App Store friction.

Amjad Masad: worked things out with Apple, Replit iOS app is publishing again after four months

Amjad Masad (@amasad), CEO and cofounder of Replit, said his team has "worked things out with Apple" and published its app for the first time in four months, according to a post on X.

The update ends a prolonged gap in releases. Masad thanked "customers and creators who helped out" and signaled a pipeline of features: "It’s been a journey, but we never give up and stay winning... Enjoy the updates! Lots of new things coming," he wrote on X.

Masad did not disclose what changed in conversations with Apple, or why updates had been paused. The post did not include timing details beyond the four-month hiatus or specifics on what shipped in the newly published version.

We will update as more information becomes available on the app, the update contents, and any ongoing constraints tied to Apple’s review process.
