Why it matters

Bryel is selling a way to build specialist models, while Coinbase's fraud-model work shows how domain adaptation can improve performance on a narrow task. Foundry's commercial test is whether it can reproduce gains across customer tasks, including the data and deployment work beyond training.

Kevin Miao (@KJHMiao) says Bryel will deliver a company's custom AI model within seven days. He points to Coinbase's recently published fraud-model results to illustrate how narrow models can beat larger systems on specific tasks. In an October 14th post on X, Miao invited companies to book a demo and described the input as one prompt and a teacher model. Bryel says the resulting model can cost up to half as much to run in the chosen domain.
