Why it matters

Live video agents have been stuck between expensive general video models and stiff avatar tools. If Atmanity's single-GPU rendering holds up, it could lower the per-minute cost of face-to-face AI agents for support, tutoring and coaching products.

Chen-Ping Yu (@yuchenping), the founder whose augmented-reality navigation startup Phiar was acquired by Google in 2022, launched Atmee v2 on November 4th, a real-time avatar model for live video agents. Yu announced the release in a thread on X, framing text and voice as workable but incomplete interfaces and face-to-face conversation as the next step.
