Why it matters
Instant Soundtracks extends ElevenLabs from generating audio assets to coordinating them against video. The API could carry that workflow into other products, but its value will depend on how reliably it places effects and how the combined job is priced.
ElevenLabs has launched Instant Soundtracks, a feature that generates music for uploaded video and places sound effects at selected moments in one pass, according to a post the company published on X on October 15th. Co-founder and CEO Mati Staniszewski (@mati) is extending an audio business built around speech into a workflow that assembles more of a video's soundtrack.
