Why it matters

As companies let agents act on documents, accurate extraction alone cannot establish that the source is genuine. Verify targets that integrity gap, but its key performance figures come from a private company-run benchmark.

Extend launched Verify on October 19th, an API that checks documents for signs of fraud before software agents use them to approve loans, release payments or make other decisions. CEO and co-founder Kushal Byatnal (@kushalbyatnal) announced the product in a thread on X. Extend says Verify is designed to sit alongside the document parsing and extraction tools the company already sells.
