Google is using free access to turn Gemini from a prompt-driven chatbot into a daily habit built on Gmail, Calendar and chat data, while asking users to accept deeper personalization.
Google began expanding Gemini's Daily Brief to more free users in the U.S. on September 4th, moving a proactive morning digest beyond the paid AI subscriptions that received the feature at Google I/O in May.
