Why it matters
LigandAI is using an open, experimentally tested GLP1R challenge to put its peptide-design tool in front of prospective users. The key evidence will be receptor activation in the lab, not a predicted binder score.

Andre Watson (@nanogenomic) is promoting LigandAI's free-to-try peptide-design platform alongside an open challenge to create an agonist for GLP1R, the receptor targeted by drugs such as semaglutide. The competition is underway, but its deadline is October 25th, and a design made with LigandAI is not guaranteed to reach the lab.
