OpenAI is turning ChatGPT from a destination into an Office-native work layer, giving it direct distribution inside Microsoft's most valuable productivity software.
OpenAI launched ChatGPT inside Microsoft Word on September 17th, giving users a sidebar that can draft, edit, proofread and reformat text without moving content into a separate chatbot window.
