Why it matters

For customer-service teams, Prism's text checkpoint offers a review point before an automated reply reaches a caller, while the model processes vocal cues directly.

Rime launched Prism on October 28th, a speech-to-speech model that aims to give companies the natural back-and-forth of direct audio processing and a chance to inspect an agent's response before a caller hears it. CEO and co-founder Lily Clifford (@lilyjclifford) introduced the product in a thread on X, positioning it for customer-service calls where pauses, emotion and background sounds can carry information that a transcript misses.
