A follow-up X post alleges Tizen classifies sounds and logs event counters. Samsung's API docs confirm microphone controls, but neither source verifies what audio or telemetry leaves a TV.

Why it matters
Samsung documents privileged TV software that can discover and enable connected microphones. A follow-up post also alleges sound classification and telemetry for sensor preferences, dog-barking and baby-crying events, and camera-streaming duration, but does not show what data leaves a TV. Separate research on Tizen's viewing-data collection concerns ACR, not room audio.

A post published by @log4j on X alleges that a Samsung TV without a built-in microphone can find one on a connected soundbar or Bluetooth device and send voice input to Bixby. Samsung's Tizen developer documentation confirms that TV software can detect, list and enable connected microphones. The documentation does not establish that the specific behavior described in the post occurs.
