Why it matters
The F10's selling point is a fixed-wing aircraft paired with a dock designed to launch and recover it without staff on site. That could extend drone coverage over large areas, while the dock's power, network and installation requirements set real limits on where the system can operate.
Skydio CEO and co-founder Adam Bry unveiled the F10 Lightrunner on September 23rd, a fixed-wing drone the company says can reach 100 mph, travel 30 miles from its launch point and take off and land using a robotic arm inside its MegaDock.
