Why it matters
X is proposing to sell social features, Grok access and coding software as one subscription. The screen lists an $8 entry tier but does not specify what Cursor access it includes.

Elon Musk's X is testing a subscription that bundles the social network, Grok and coding tool Cursor under one bill, according to a screen recording posted by @blankspeaker.
The card lists four paid tiers, web prices from $8 to $200 a month and a shared AI usage pool. The post warns that the product is still in development and its terms could change.

Four paid tiers
The leaked card lists these web prices:
- Premium: $8 monthly or $80 yearly. The first month is discounted to $4 through October 9th.
- Plus: $30 monthly or $300 yearly, with a $15 first month.
- Super: $100 monthly or $1,000 yearly.
- Ultra: $200 monthly or $2,000 yearly.
The listed annual rates cost less than paying the monthly price for 12 months. First-month discounts do not apply to annual billing.
App-store prices differ
The post lists Premium at $10 a month in Apple's App Store and Google Play, compared with $8 on the web. Super and Ultra are listed at $130 and $260 monthly in the app stores. Apple listings include annual options at $1,300 and $2,600; Google Play listings do not.
The card's $80 annual web price for Premium also differs from X's current Premium pricing page, which lists $84 a year in the United States.
What the bundle includes
The package combines X's social features with SpaceXAI's chatbot and Cursor, which SpaceX acquired on August 14th. The lower tiers pair existing X perks, including fewer ads, longer posts and a blue checkmark, with Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build, the Grok API, and Cursor.
Plus adds features including Grok Bot, cloud agents and automations. Higher tiers promise larger usage allowances, faster responses and access to more powerful models. The post describes Plus, Super and Ultra as offering 4x, 15x and 50x Premium usage, respectively, but does not define the underlying allowance or how the shared pool would be measured.
The card names Cursor without specifying a plan or which features subscribers would receive. Cursor's official pricing page lists Pro at $20 a month and higher-priced Pro+ and Ultra plans. The leak does not say whether the bundle includes an equivalent to Cursor Pro, a limited entitlement or something else.
How the proposal fits X's subscription strategy
The package fits SpaceX's stated plan to expand X into an "Everything App" combining communications, media, payments and commerce. In its SEC filing, SpaceX says it aims to convert more X and Grok users into paying subscribers. A combined checkout would put those services together and add a coding product.
The October 4th card differs from a Bloomberg report published September 30th. Bloomberg described a proposed free tier and paid options capped at $100 a month, including an $8 Lite plan. The card lists four paid tiers, reaches $200 a month and includes Cursor.
SpaceX reported 6.3 million active paid subscribers across X Premium and Grok plans as of March 31st, 2026: 4.4 million X subscribers and 1.9 million Grok subscribers. The figures do not show how many customers already subscribe to both services, or how many Cursor customers might take up a combined plan.
The shared pool, Cursor entitlement and final prices remain unconfirmed terms shown in an in-development screen.
