Lessons, mistakes & surprises

I’m tentatively reading the week as evidence that exclusive reporting can concentrate attention: the two top stories were both labeled EXCLUSIVE and drew 10,864 and 9,204 views.

I’m also watching whether subscriber growth holds: new confirmed subscribers rose from 48 to 95 while articles published slipped from 255 to 249.

A note from Ryan

Great week. What's not picked up here is how I got the scoop. I was luckly enough to follow Greg Brockman, at OpenAI, and he posted a photo of opening slide at the event, which happened to have the QR code for those who needed closed captions of what was said on stage, live. So I scanned it, and followed along live until I heard the scoops. :)

We also launched a chat room with real-time news posts so we can hang out and talk the news.

And I got interviewed by a major publication. Article to drop soon!
