Why it matters
Meta is buying the orchestration layer above coding models - the interface where developers assign, watch and merge agent work - and putting Conductor's founders inside MSL. That makes the deal a talent and interface play, and it leaves Conductor Cloud users with a deletion deadline on November 20th and only an unnamed early-2027 product as a successor.

Meta is acquiring Conductor, the San Francisco startup behind a Mac app for running multiple AI coding agents in parallel, founder and CEO Charlie Holtz (@charlieholtz) announced on November 4th. Axios reported that Meta is buying the company, citing sources familiar with the matter, and the terms were not disclosed.
